Nickel single crystal 28 Ni 58.71
Introduction: C. Hatchett discovered nickel metal in London, England in 1801. Nickel is a silver-white, shiny, ductile and tough metal. It resists corrosion, but is soluble in acids (except hyponitric acid) and insoluble in alkalis. Nickel single crystals can be grown by the Czochralski method . Commonly used in alloys, especially stainless steel, coins, metal plating and catalysts.
